Initiating a Transaction Zero

How to initiate a Transaction Zero (Tx0) to enter the Ashigaru Whirlpool pools.

Account structure

You may initiate a Tx0 from:

    • Deposit account
    • Postmix account
    • Badbank account

After initiating a Tx0, your unmixed change is always returned to your wallet's Badbank account.

How to initiate a Tx0

  1. First navigate to the Account > UTXOs screen.
    For example:
    - Deposit > UTXOs
    or
    - Postmix > UTXOs
    or
    - Badbank > UTXOs

  1. Using arrow keys ⬆️ UP, ⬇️ DOWN, ⬅️ LEFT, ➡️ RIGHT to navigate,
    and
    ENTER key to select, choose the UTXO/s you wish to coinjoin.

    Note: when using the ENTER key, you will observe a (*) next to the UTXO/s you have selected.
    See example below where 2 x UTXO have been selected:

  1. Using the arrow keys, or TAB key
    and
    ENTER key, choose Mix Selected

  1. This will launch the Transaction Zero preview screen.

  1. Review the on-screen details, then select Broadcast

  1. After a successful Tx0 broadcast, you will observe the following

Premix

After broadcasting your Transaction Zero, you may navigate to your Account > Premix > UTXOs

Here you will observe your Premix UTXOs as "Unconfirmed".

Once your Tx0 is confirmed on-chain, your Premix UTXOs are ready for their first coinjoin which will be organized automatically when liquidity and network conditions allow. Ensure you leave your Ashigaru Terminal online so your Premix UTXOs may be ready and waiting to undergo their first coinjoin.

Postmix

Once your Premix UTXOs have been involved in their first coinjoin, they will then arrive into your Postmix wallet account.

You may view all your Postmix UTXO by navigating to Account > Postmix > UTXOs

You may leave your Ashigaru Terminal application running, and your Postmix UTXOs will be selected at random to partake in further coinjoins when liquidity and network conditions allow. Doing so is encouraged, and betters your forward and backward anonymity sets.

Badbank / unmixed change

When broadcasting a Tx0, the unmixed change from this transaction is returned to your Badbank account.

You may view all your Badbank UTXOs by navigating to Account > Badbank > UTXOs

If your UTXOs within your Badbank account are large enough, you may select them (using the ENTER key) and initiate another Tx0.
