Ashigaru Terminal Application

Installing and running the app

How to install / run the Ashigaru Terminal application.

Installing

Ashigaru Terminal is just like any other application you would be familiar with. Follow the ordinary steps on your operating system to install, then run the application.

MacOS install warning

Note that on MacOS you will observe a warning stating that the application has not being signed by a developer. This is expected and can be safely ignored. Go to your privacy and security settings to "Open anyway".

Running Ashigaru Terminal on Mainnet

By default when launching Ashigaru Terminal, the application will run on the Bitcoin Mainnet network.

Running Ashigaru Terminal on Testnet4

Within the Ashigaru Terminal application there is an option to "Restart in Testnet4".

Note: selecting this option may not work on all operating systems / application binary types (for example if using the Linux Standalone tar.gz application binary). Instead you can launch Ashigaru Terminal into Testnet4 using the following terminal command:

./Ashigaru-terminal -n testnet4

File storage locations

By default the following file paths are used to store the Ashigaru Terminal configuration, wallet, and log files:

Operating System File Directory Location
MacOS ~/.ashigaru
Linux ~/.ashigaru
Windows %APPDATA%/ashigaru

You may like to navigate here from time to time to backup your wallet files for example, or to troubleshoot using the log file.
